NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — A woman was killed and two people were injured after a shooting in New Britain Saturday evening, according to Deputy Police Chief Adam Rembisz.
Officers responded at 11:10 p.m. to the first floor of an apartment on North Street where they found three people who had been struck by gunfire.
One of the three victims, Sabrina Finch, a 44-year-old woman, was found dead at the scene. She was reportedly in a "dating relationship" with the suspect and lived in the home, Rembisz said.
Two victims were treated at the hospital and their current condition is unknown at this time.
Rembisz said that the shooting was not a random act of violence and that there is no danger to the public.
Antoine Harris was arrested and charged with murder, and two counts of assault among other charges. He is being held on a $1.8 million bond and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call Capt. Matthew Butkiewicz at 860-826-3120.
