WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — A flight service from Windsor Locks to Cincinnati, Ohio, is expected to be launched by Breeze Airways in May, said the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) on Tuesday.
The nonstop summer seasonal service, going from Bradley International Airport (BDL) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), will operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays starting on May 2, according to the CAA.
The announcement also included a daily summer seasonal one-stop flight service between BDL and San Diego International Airport (SAN), starting on May 1. Passengers on the flight will not have to change planes, the CAA said.
“We are thrilled that Breeze is once again bringing convenient travel options at low fares to travelers at Bradley International Airport,” said Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director. “The new nonstop to Cincinnati and BreezeThru to San Diego are wonderful additions to the airline’s growing list of destinations from our region to other parts of the country.”
Current nonstop services from BDL offered by Breeze include flights to Charleston, SC, Columbus, OH, Fort Myers, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Las Vegas, NV, New Orleans, LA, Phoenix, AZ, Raleigh-Durham, NC, Richmond, VA, Sarasota, FL, Tampa, FL and Vero Beach, FL.
A previously announced service between BDL and Santa Ana, CA will also be launched in May, said the CAA.
“As we continue to grow from Hartford’s Bradley International, we keep joining the dots with the fastest ways to get from A to B -- whether it’s a nonstop or direct flight,” Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey said. “Now our Connecticut Guests can get to Cincinnati and San Diego much faster at very affordable fares.”
