Man arrested after wrong way crash in Glastonbury

The driver failed the field sobriety tests.

GLASTONBURY, Conn. — A Plainville man was arrested after crashing head-on into another car while driving westbound on eastbound Route 2. 

CSP personnel were dispatched to Route 2 eastbound near Exit 11 in Glastonbury on Friday, February 2, 2024, at around 8:55 p.m. following a report of a wrong-way driver. As troopers were on their way, police received reports of a head-on crash. 

At the scene, Terrance Green, of Plainville, was IDed as the wrong way driver. Troopers gave Green the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and Green failed. He was arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Driving the Wrong Way on a Divided Highway, and Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree. 

During the arrest processing, Green refused to be fingerprinted, and was charged with Failure to Provide Fingerprints. 

Green was released on a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
