ROCKY HILL, Conn. — A Rocky Hill police officer is set to appear as a contestant on the TV game show Wheel of Fortune on Veterans Day, according to the town's police department Thursday.
School Resource Officer Will Jordan will be spinning the wheel and representing Rocky Hill on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Viewers can find where to watch the show on this webpage here.
Jordan served as a petty officer in the United States Coast Guard and then as a sergeant with the Newington Police Department before retiring and joining the Rocky Hill Police Department, police said.
Police noted Jordan's passion for working with kids as a school resource officer.
"He's especially loved for his 'fun football fridays', where he brings excitement and positive energy to our students in a way only he can," police said in a Facebook post.
The Rocky Hill Police Department is honoring his appearance on the show by donating non-perishable food items to the Rocky Hill Human Services Food Bank, which Jordan has chosen to support with families in need during the holidays.
Those looking to donate non-perishable food items can do so by dropping them off at the Rocky Hill Police Department or donate via Amazon to the below address:
