SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person wounded late Thursday night.

At 11:45 p.m., police were called to the Cinnamon Springs condo complex near the corner of Pleasant Valley Road and Clark Street and after receiving a phone call that someone at that address had been shot.

Officers at the scene were able to safely "call out" seven occupants who were in the home, including the 19-year-old male victim. Officials said he was treated by officers on the scene after they discovered he was shot in the hip with a small caliber bullet.

The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
