BURLINGTON, Conn. — A Burlington high school student was arrested Thursday after he was allegedly carrying an airsoft gun in school.
The staff of Mills High School called state police and Burlington police to the school grounds just after noon on Thursday for a report of a teen who was found to have a facsimile firearm in his possession.
Police detained a 15-year-old boy and confirmed he was carrying an unloaded airsoft gun. Police did not find live firearms or ammunition.
The teen got minor injuries while being detained. No other injuries were reported.
The 15-year-old was charged with breach of peace, carrying a facsimile firearm and reckless endangerment. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
