WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — A section of the Berlin Turnpike northbound in Wethersfield has reopened due to a serious motorcycle crash Sunday morning, the town's police department said.
Officers said they went to the Berlin Turnpike at 6:31 a.m. after receiving a report about a crash with serious injuries and found that a motorcycle had been involved. According to an alert from the Connecticut Department of Transportation, the collision involved 2 vehicles.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for their injuries after Aetna Ambulance and Wethersfield EMS arrived to the scene to provide medical treatment. Their condition and the cause of the crash is currently unknown.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash, and anyone with information is asked to call Ofc. Emma Borysevicz at 860-721-3006.
