WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — Wethersfield voted against the installation of an artificial turf field in Mill Woods Park Tuesday, according to the town.
Through the use of polls and absentee ballots, the town cast a total of 2,566 votes for "NO" and 461 votes for "YES."
As a result, the proposal to solicit proposals for the design and construction of a multi-use synthetic turf field in Mill Woods Park has been rejected.
The referendum was held at the Pitkin Community Center on 30 Greenfield St. in Wethersfield. Absentee ballots became available on Nov. 21 in-person only.
