HARWINTON, Conn. — One person is dead after a crash around noon on Sunday in Harwinton.
Emergency crews were called to the area of 181 Clearview Avenue at 11:53 a.m. Sunday .
State police said the driver of an Audi A4 was heading southbound when it veered to the shoulder and struck Kevin Gangell, 24, of Harwinton and then a rock embankment.
Gangell was taken to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The crash is under investigation by the Western District Major Crime Unit.
