HARWINTON, Conn. — A 24-year-old man has died after being hit by a car at their Harwinton home at midday last month.
Just before noon on July 28, state police were called to an address on Clearview Ave. for a report of a pedestrian hit by a car.
Investigators determined that an Audi Quattro was traveling south on the road when it went off the shoulder, hitting 24-year-old Kevin Gangell and then a rock embankment.
Gangell was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. The 21-year-old driver and 20-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, state police said.
Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call Western District Major Crime Detective Daniel Koehler at (860) 626-7900.
