ROCKY HILL, Conn. — A man was rescued from the Connecticut River Tuesday night.
Police say they responded to Rocky Hill's Ferry Park to find a man on the hood of his truck, 50 yards into the river which was about 16ft of water.
The man was said to be holding on to the pier. Rocky Hill firefighters and Police officers were able to rescue the man from the water. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police say he was suffering from hypothermia.
