HADDAM, Conn. — Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a multi-car crash in Haddam Saturday afternoon, according to the town's fire department.
Haddam Fire Company Deputy Chief Jed Morrissey said that the fire department responded at 3:08 p.m. to a multi-car crash on Killingworth Road on Route 81.
11 people involved in the crash were evaluated, Morrissey said. Three of them were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Route 81 was closed for around half an hour.
It is currently unclear how many cars were involved or how the crash happened. Morrissey said the cause is under investigation.
