MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — A fifth arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting that happened at a Middletown hookah lounge in May 2023.
Chauncey Wilson, 26, of Hartford was arrested Friday in connection to the shooting death of Jonathan Semidey, 20, at Hidden Hookah Lounge in the early morning hours of May 21, 2023.
"Detectives continued their investigation in an effort to ensure that nobody involved gets away with this crime," Middletown police said in a news release announcing the latest arrest.
Wilson was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder and was held on a $1 million bond after being arraigned in court this week.
During the investigation, police determined multiple people were involved with multiple weapons and made several arrests in September 2023. Four others were arrested in connection to Semidey's death, including Akeil Booker, Gene Daniels, and Gianni Marmol, all facing murder charges, and Mayriaines Nunez, facing hindering prosecution and tampering charges.
