MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — A Middletown woman was arrested in connection to a stabbing that happened back in September.
Police were notified of a stabbing victim arriving at Middlesex Hospital on Sept. 26 with life-threatening injuries. The victim had to be taken to Hartford Hospital for surgery, police said. The victim ultimately survived the stabbing, police added.
During a weeks-long investigation, police conducted interviews and collected evidence to figure out what led up to the stabbing. Police determined the stabbing "was domestic in nature."
The victim has not been identified by police.
Taquanis Sessoms, 33, was arrested Wednesday and charged with assault, according to police. She posted a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
