Multiple boats on fire at Chester marina extinguished by firefighters

Connecticut State Police said that they are on scene and that the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit was requested by the town fire marshal. No one was hurt.

CHESTER, Connecticut — Multiple boats on fire at a Chester marina Labor Day evening were extinguished by the local fire department, according to Haven Hays Marina. 

Connecticut State Police said that they are on scene and that the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit was requested by the town fire marshal.

Around 9 p.m., Chester Hose Company said that they were at Haven Hays Marina for multiple boats that were on fire.

In an update on Facebook, the marina said that the fire had been extinguished and that no one was hurt.

The marina is assessing the damages caused by the fire.
