OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. — Firefighters in Old Saybrook are on the scene of a large boat fire at a marina in the town.
The Old Saybrook Fire Department was dispatched to the fire just before 12:30 p.m. Monday.
A Facebook post from the fire department said that the boat had been stored on land for the season. A fire department boat was already in the Connecticut River at the time the call came in, so they were able to respond quickly.
A video included in the Facebook post showed large flames and billowing smoke coming from a section of docked boats.
Details on the cause of the fire, whether it affected any nearby boats or structures, and whether there have been any injuries as a result were not immediately available.
