DEEP RIVER, Conn. — Troopers are investigating after two suspects burglarized and damaged school property in Deep River, Connecticut State Police (CSP) said.
Troopers from CSP Troop F in Westbrook responded to John Winthrop School at 7:09 a.m. on Dec. 23 after receiving a report of a non-active burglary.
Student artwork and school equipment, including electronics, were found vandalized, according to state police.
It is currently unclear what was taken during the reported burglary.
Based on a review of security footage of the incident, school staff determined that the incident happened on Dec. 22 between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. Two suspects were spotted in the video running through the school common areas wearing masks, winter jackets, hats and gloves.
Anyone with information regarding the two suspects involved in the incident is asked to contact Trooper Rochette #396 at 860-399-2100 as state police investigate the incident.
