Police, bomb squad investigate threat at Madison Beach Hotel

The bomb squad searched the hotel and did not find any suspicious items on the property, Madison police said.

MADISON, Conn — Madison police were called to a beachside hotel Saturday for a report of a bomb threat that was later determined to be unfounded.

Police were called to Madison Beach Hotel on West Wharf Road on Saturday for a report of a bomb threat.

In addition to police, the Madison Fire Department, Madison Ambulance, and Connecticut State Police Bomb Squad Unit responded.

The bomb squad searched the hotel and did not find any suspicious items on the property, Madison police said.

It is not clear if guests were evacuated and if planned events were affected.
