ORANGE, Connecticut — Connecticut Orthopaedics officially cut the ribbon on its new state-of-the-art Orange facility on Thursday, celebrating alongside the Orange Chamber of Commerce and the community.
Connecticut Orthopaedics is a team of orthopaedic doctors, surgeons and healthcare professionals located throughout the state. The ribbon cutting ceremony marked the consolidation of its two Orange locations into a single center. The move is meant to strengthen the continuum of care for the community.
The new facility is located at 235 Boston Post Road. On Oct. 10, the healthcare professionals were joined by Executive Director Barry Lee Cohen of the Orange Chamber of Commerce, Orange First Selectman James Zeoli, Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Annemarie Silby and state Rep. Kathleen Kennedy (R-119). They were accompanied by patients, members of the chamber and local businesses.
In a release, Connecticut Orthopaedics Dr. Patrick Ruwe, MD, said the business has been in Orange a long time.
“This is our third home on Boston Post Road and our best home,” Ruwe said. “Patients are excited. We’re excited. It’s a beautiful space that reflects Connecticut Orthopaedics’ role and desire to support Orange. We couldn’t be happier.”
Zeoli said he was thrilled, adding that the site was formerly a trailer park home that sat idle for a long period of time.
“This is a beautiful addition to the Town of Orange and the Post Road,” Zeoli said. “Many people have already commented on this stand-out facility.”
Zeoli and Ruwe gave credit to Garry M. Richetelli, Garry J. Richetelli and Michael Romano of the Commercial Development Company for the role they played bringing all the parties to the table.
Connecticut Orthopaedics notes that it has over 20 locations across central and southern Connecticut, and the new location in Orange supports the business’ commitment to delivering a stress-free healthcare experience. Connecticut Orthopaedics hopes to give patients access to a wide range of services with ease.
The new facility will have extended hours, committed care teams and a design focused on patients.
“Connecticut Orthopaedics is a trusted and well-established healthcare brand that has been a valued partner to both patients and the business community,” Cohen said. “This new facility represents a significant investment in and commitment to the economic vitality of Orange and surrounding municipalities.”
