CHESHIRE, Conn. — A New Britain man has died after his car rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in Cheshire overnight Saturday, according to Connecticut State Police.
A tractor-trailer was traveling slowly in the right lane on I-84 East near Exit 26 when a Hyundai Accent hit the back of the trailer, state police said.
State police were called to the scene just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Hyundai driver, identified as Lawrence Soucy, 44, was pronounced dead on scene, state police said.
The tractor-trailer driver declined medical attention on scene and did not complain about injuries, state police said.
