HAMDEN, Connecticut — Police are investigating a murder-suicide earlier this month in a home on Hampton Road.
Police said on Jan. 15, officers were called to a single family home for a welfare check and discovered a man and wife who were dead.
The couple was identified as Patricia Petrini, 76, and her husband Francis Petrini, 80.
Last Friday, police received a report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that said the cause of death for Patricia was determined to be a homicide. For Francis they determined the fatal injury was self-inflicted. Police said this was an isolated incident. with no danger to the public.
