CLINTON, Connecticut — A man died Monday after falling from a roof, according to police.
Officials identified the man Wednesday as Angel Lema, 37, of Danbury, who was self-employed and owned AGL General Construction LLC.
Emergency crews were called at around 8:30 a.m. to a home on Fox Hill Drive, for a report of a fall off of the roof of a home. The caller reported the man had sustained serious injuries from the fall.
When they arrived, officers and medical personnel immediately began performing life-saving measures on the man.
He died from his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene according to officials.
Police said the homeowners had hired a roofing company to perform work on their house.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene and will be conducting their own independent investigation related to the incident. At this time, the case is still actively under investigation.
