New Haven drive-by shooting leaves 2 in serious condition: Police

​Detectives obtained a vehicle description and are working to identify the suspect, police said.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A New Haven drive-by shooting Monday afternoon left two men in serious condition, according to the city's police department.

Officers received a call at 1:04 p.m. about the shooting and found the two men in the area of State Street and Ferry Street, including one who police said is 21 years old.

Investigators learned that the shots came from a vehicle, seriously injuring both men, according to police.

Detectives found the suspect vehicle unoccupied and towed it for processing. Investigators are working to identify the suspect, police said.
