NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A person was stabbed while walking outside of a nightclub early Saturday in New Haven, police said.
Officers responded around 12:44 a.m. to the area of Crown Street, just before High Street, for a report of a stabbing. A male was found with a stab wound to his arm.
The male's age and identity has not been yet been disclosed by police.
Officers were told by the male that it was unclear who stabbed him or where in the area the incident took place. There was reportedly a large rush of people leaving the club at the time, police said.
The male was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for stab wounds to the arm and torso, determined to be non-life-threatening, police said.
Police said that officers located a crime scene in the area after searching for potential witnesses and surveillance footage.
More information regarding the investigation will be made available in a press release when it is received, police said.
