WATERBURY, Conn. — A 71-year-old woman has died after being hit by a vehicle in Waterbury on Thursday evening, according to police.
Officers were called to 1650 Watertown Ave., where they found the woman who was hit by a vehicle in the roadway. She had serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital, where she later died, police said.
The pedestrian was identified as Flora Legassey of Waterbury.
The driver involved stayed on the scene.
