WATERBURY, Conn. — A man is dead after he was found lying in the road Sunday evening, and Waterbury police are investigating his death as a homicide, officials said.
Waterbury officers were called to an area on Kenyon Street just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the report of a person who was shot and lying in the roadway.
When officers got to the area, they found a 22-year-old man who was shot multiple times lying in the road. He was unconscious when first responders got to him and was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
The victim was identified as Jordan Robinson, 22, of Waterbury.
Waterbury Police Department Major Crimes detectives are investigating the fatal shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Waterbury Police Department's detective bureau at 203-574-6941 or leave an anonymous tip with Crimestoppers at 203-755-1234.
