15-year-old arrested for threat to New London school

The threat was found on social media and traced to a local home.

NEW LONDON, Conn — New London police arrested a 15-year-old teenage boy for making a threat Tuesday against a local school on school. 

Police said they were made aware of the threat to shoot up a school that was not specified at 10:44 a.m. on Tuesday. The threat was traced to a local home and the teen was identified and charged with threatening 1st degree and breach of peace. 

A BB gun was seized during the incident.
