NORWICH, Conn. — After investigating narcotic activity in the city of Norwich, multiple law enforcement agencies collaborated to make six arrests at an apartment on Franklin Street, Norwich police reported on Thursday.
Members of the Connecticut State Police Violent Crime Task Force East office, the Norwich Police Department Detective Division and the Norwich Police Department Patrol Division acquired a search warrant for the apartment during an ongoing investigation into narcotic activity there, police said.
Law enforcement executed the search warrant at the residence and arrested six Norwich residents there, according to police.
Richard Davis, 34, lives in the apartment that was searched, the release from Norwich police said. Davis is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to that report.
Emma Giesing, 23, also lives at the apartment on Franklin Street, police said. According to the release, she is charged with interfering with an officer, criminal impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics and first-degree failure to appear.
Police said 30-year-old Kaylee Donovan lives at the Franklin Street apartment as well; she is charged with possession of narcotics.
According to police, Denise Hughes, 58, resides at the Franklin Street apartment too and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics.
Andre Mercer, 56, lives on Laurel Hill Avenue and is charged with four counts of violating probation, police said.
Patrick Ward, 39, lives in Norwich, according to police. He is charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with a search warrant, the release said.
Police did not say when the six arrested Norwich residents will appear in court or if bonds were set or posted.
Anyone with information connected to criminal activity occurring in Norwich is asked to contact the Norwich Police Department at 860-886-5561. Police said tips can be left anonymously.
