FARMINGTON -- Temperatures in the 80s, blue skies, and laughing kids all sure indications that Camp Courant is open once again.
The oldest free summer camp in the country made it official on Wednesday making this the 121st year of fun in the fun.
The camp is expecting to host about one thousand Hartford based kids during its six-week run.
The landscape will soon change at the Batterson Park landmark, at the end of the summer, the camp will break ground on a new pool and pool house, thanks to 850 thousand dollars in state aid.
