WINDSOR LOCKS — A fatal accident caused traffic delays on I-91 North Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. near exit 42 in Windsor Locks. State police said one person died in the two car crash. The accident caused lanes to be shut down for several hours. All lanes have reopened.
Traffic was being diverted off the highway, and up Rt. 159 and over the bridge to East Windsor where drivers could get back on the highway at Exit 44.
