HARTFORD--Just in time for the holiday season and new year, the carousel in Bushnell Park has officially reopened for business!
The 101-year-old ride began renovations in the spring of 2014 to make improvements that would allow the carousel to be open year-round.
The million-dollar renovation includes a new room to hold functions in, and heating was installed.
Mayor Segarra, who attended the grand re-opening, said, "So there's a lot going on in Bushnell, but definitely the loudest, fastest, biggest biggest attraction in the park. Other than the main stage for the concerts, it's definitely the carousel."
