A popular restaurant in California has a “no noisy children” policy.
CNN reports that the Old Fisherman’s Grotto on the Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey has two signs posted asking parents to leave strollers, high chairs, booster chairs and noise at home.
Tourists are complaining, saying the sign is unfair, but the owner, Chris Shake, says it isn’t hurting his bottom line. He also says he doesn’t care if some people are offended and that if you don’t like it you can eat somewhere else.
The policy has been in effect for two years now, and Shake says his business keeps growing.
“Well let’s put it this way, I haven’t had a down year in over 20 years, our business continues to grow,” Shake said.
