HARTFORD — If things stay on schedule, the prosecution will call its first witness Wednesday in the re-trial of alleged gang leader and murder conspiracy suspect, Donald Raynor, 29, of Hartford.
So far, the proceedings have been slow-going because of weather, prior commitments among the attorneys, and problems with jury selection.
Raynor is accused of orchestrating a drive-by shooting and five other deaths in a case rooted in gang rivalry in Hartford’s North End.
The jury in Raynor’s first trial was hung and did not deliver a verdict.
The charges stem from the 2007 execution of Delano Gray.
Raynor faces accessory to murder and conspiracy.
