MANCHESTER -- Chuck E. Cheese is hiring a security guard for their Manchester location after a brawl broke out Sunday night and the melee was caught on camera.
Alexis Linn, PR Manager for Chuck E. Cheese, said safety of their guests is their number one priority.
"Our locations work really hard to make sure they provide a safe environment for the guests and their children," Linn told FOX 61. "They follow a strict protocol to ensure the safety of all the guests and staff."
Linn said they plan to have the security guard in place at the Buckland Street location by "next week at the latest."
Police are also investigating the fight. Police tell FOX 61 they are searching for the suspects involved in the fight, which occurred while a family was celebrating a child's birthday party at the restaurant. Strangers showed up and started fighting near the carousel, which led to the all-out brawl.
According to police, 15 adults were involved, and in all five children were having birthday parties.
The suspects drove away before police arrived at the scene. Witnesses tell FOX 61 it took some time for police to arrive.
Manchester Police say some little ones were even caught in the middle.
Captain Chris Davis says, “There were two children. A 1-year-old was pushed down and a 4-year-old sustained scratching and bruising injuries and there was an elderly person who suffered a panic attack. “
We're told families hosting parties that were ruined have since been compensated.
