NORTH STONINGTON — A Connecticut State Police Trooper is facing charges after police were called in an incident in North Stonington.
On Friday, August 26, just before midnight, troopers responded to a home on Mystic Road in North Stonington, state police said in a release Tuesday.
A woman reported she was threatened by David Greene, 43. State Police say the two came home from an event, at which point the accused made threats that made the victim fear for her safety. At that time, Greene had a gun in his hands, police say.
Greene lives in the home. No word yet on how he and the woman are connected.
Greene has been a trooper with state police for 18 years, according to Trooper Kelly Grant.
Trooper Grant said he was assigned to Troop-E in Montville and is currently suspended.
An internal investigation will be conducted, Trooper Grant said.
Greene appeared in court Monday, August 29.
