STORRS — It makes sense in a way to have cows near the UConn Dairy bar, but in the parking lot?
Ashley Robbins captured this video over the weekend of the several cows wandering around the parking lot of the University of Connecticut Dairy Bar on the Storrs campus.
The cows are kept nearby and graze in adjacent fields to Dairy Bar’s location on Horsebarn Hill Road Extension.
It’s not clear how the cows got out of their enclosure.
Construction in the area has changed parking for the Dairy Bar. The project involves replacing the aging steam and water distribution lines that serve several UConn academic and residential buildings on the eastern side of campus.
