ANDOVER — A house fire in Andover killed a dog, and wounded a firefighter according to Fire Chief Ron Mike.
The fire started this morning at 165 Lake Road around 9:40 a.m. The flames started in the basement, and then extended up to the first and second floors. The house was destroyed by the blaze.
Three adults and one child were able to make it out, but the dog sadly died in the fire.
One firefighter suffered minor burns, and was taken to Windham Hospital for evaluation.
The State Fire Marshall and Andover Fire Marshall are investigating the cause of the fire.
