EAST HARTFORD — Police have arrested a mother they say abused and failed to care for her child with a disability. Alison Rosa, 29, of East Hartford was arrested on Monday, July 20 after an investigation by the East Hartford Detective Bureau.
Rosa is charged with assault, assault of a disabled person, reckless endangerment, abuse, risk of injury to a minor, and cruelty to persons.
Police say, as a result of their investigation, it was determined that Rosa repeatedly failed to follow medical direction and properly care for her child.
She is being held on $350,000 bond and appeared in court on Tuesday.
