FAIRFIELD–Four teachers at a Fairfield elementary school were injured Wednesday afternoon by a student.
A 10-year-old student at the Dwight Elementary School was having behavioral issues around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, and began throwing chairs and tables in the classroom.
Four teachers were hit by the furniture and received minor injuries. One teacher, whose leg was bruised, was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital. A second teacher was taken to a private physician by a friend before police arrived, and the other two teachers did not want medical attention.
No students were hurt during the incident.
The student was released to his parents.
