Do you enjoy where you work? Well, FOX CT and the Hartford Courant held an event tonight at the Aqua Turf in Southington to hand out awards to the 60 top places to work on Thursday night.
It was the fourth year of the awards ceremony. The nominated companies and nonprofits are based on employee surveys from WorkplaceDynamics, a Pennsylvania research company.
The awards are divided into three categories based on the number of employees each company has in the area.
Whole Foods Market won the top prize for the large category, followed by William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties; Chandler Howard, CEO of Liberty Bank, won the top leadership award for large employers.
Keller Williams Realty won the award among mid-size companies, followed by Reliance House Inc. and Norcom Mortgage & Insurance; Phil DeFronzo, CEO of Norcom, won the top leadership award in this category.
Slalom Consulting was named the number one small employer, followed by Primary Residential Mortgage Inc.--Team Primary and Integrated Rehabilitation Services; Julia Paolino, CEO of Integrated Rehabilitation Services, was named the top leader among small employers.
