STORRS--It's time to get your pizza on!
The Lebron James-backed pizza joint Blaze Pizza opened a location at UConn in Storrs on Thursday, and to celebrate the grand opening they offered up a huge deal.
On Friday, January 29, anyone who followed Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook got a free build-your-own artisanal pizza.
The restaurant was looking to beat its previous free pizza day record of 2,775 pizzas, but no such luck: they came away with 1,289.
The restaurant is in Storrs Center, located at 12 Royce Circle.
Blaze opened its first Connecticut location recently in New Haven, at the new Jordan's Furniture store.
