GUILFORD--A young boy is determined to change the lives of kids who aren't as lucky as he is.
Grady Pascucilla is just 7 years old, but he's been touched by the tragedies that other kids face. After seeing a commercial for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, he decided he needed to do something to make a difference.
Now, the boy with a huge heart is trying to raise $5,000 to donate to the hospital, which he plans to hand deliver to Memphis, Tennessee.
"Because they're hurting and the parents don't have enough money to help them so I want to help them," Grady told FOX 61 about why he's raising the money.
Maureen, Grady's mother, said, "He has such a giving heart and it's remarkable Grady's a special special boy and we're really, really proud of him."
There will be a car wash in Guilford on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help raise money towards Grady's goal. It's being held at Palumbo's Automative, located at 1099 Boston Post Road in Guilford.
There is also a GoFundMe, which you can find here. So far, he's raised more than $2,500 on the page.
