HAMDEN – Police responded to the First Niagra Bank on Dixwell Avenue on Friday, Feb. 20 around 4 p.m. on the report of a bank robbery.
An investigation revealed the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. Shortly after, the New Haven police apprehended Salvadore Edwards, 33, on Ella Grasso Boulevard, where several evidentiary items were discovered and seized.
Edwards, who was detained on a $250,000.00 bond, is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on February 23rd.
