Hartford Police identified an Avon woman as the victim in a possible drowning that happened Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Jeanne Chiang, 61 of Avon, was the victim.
There were no signs of trauma or foul play. The Office of Chief State's Medical Examiner will be performing an autopsy.
The incident happened at the pool at the Fitness Squared gym in State House Square.
The call came in at 4:07 p.m., according to Deputy Chief Brian Foley.
Foley also said the incident hasn't officially been determined to be a drowning because autopsy results are needed to confirm that. Foley said the woman was found unresponsive in the pool and pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital.
The gym is located at 90 State House Square H-1 in Hartford.
