ESSEX--It's been nearly 100 years since the first steamship traveled up the Connecticut River to Hartford from the Long Island Sound.
In May 1915 the boa tride was merely a novelty trip, but it helped to revolutionize river travel here in the Nutmeg State. On this week's Hidden History photojournalist Mike Townsend took a trip to the CT River Museum for the story of Robert Fulton.
