WILLIMANTIC — A free dental clinic in Willimantic this weekend is expected to serve hundreds of patients.
Hundreds of dentists and other volunteers will be offering fillings, cleanings, root canals and other services for people who otherwise lack dental care.
The 13th annual Connecticut Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Windham Middle School. Fifty dental stations will be set up inside the building.
Uninsured and under-served people have lined up by the hundreds to take advantage of past clinics in cities around Connecticut.
By 11 a.m., the organizers said the clinic had reached capacity for the day. The clinic will re-open Sunday at 8am.
