NEW HAVEN – A 33-year-old man, who was suspected of abducting his 11-month old daughter and girl’s mother on Monday, has been arrested.
The abduction set off an Amber Alert and a search for the missing child, who was located safe in Bridgeport a short time later. Both the girl, 11-month-old Azryrah Rhoden and her mother, Sarah Burton, were unharmed.
Police charged Rickardo Rhoden was charged with risk of injury to a child, first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an emergency call, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.
He is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Superior Court in New Haven.
