LITCHFIELD--She's an author from a small Connecticut town, but she was at the forefront of a huge movement.

Harriet Beecher Stowe helped inspire the abolitionist movement not with violence, but by other means.

On this week's Hidden History, and in honor of Black History Month, FOX 61 photojournalist Mike Townsend shows us how the author of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" accomplished her vision with words rather than weapons while still capturing the attention of our nation's leaders.
