There’s nothing more New York than to pair football with fashion, that’s exactly what they’ve done at Macy’s Herald Square at the end of Super Bowl Boulevard.
You’re greeted by a field goal post and a giant suspended football hanging over three fashionable mannequins decked out in NFL Gear.
On the main floor are mannequins of players representing all 32 NFL teams and signed jerseys from some of the biggest names in football on display.
That’s nothing compared to what you’ll find four floors up.
The fourth floor of Macy’s at 34th and Broadway has been turned into the largest NFL shop ever at a Super Bowl. The shop is 36,000 square feet of Super Bowl XLVIII branded gear including exclusive merchandise, NY/NJ themed product, customizable merchandise like hats and photos, home goods, and NFL wear from all teams.
To navigate the store easier it’s separated between conferences then drilled down to men’s, women’s and children’s. There will also be autographs signings all week. The women’s style lounge even features a DJ.
For the hardcore shoppers, the high-tech mirrors throughout the store let you try something on, scan the tag and the mirror will project images of similar items you might also like to try.
The store kept 200 holiday employees just to work the shop which has already seen large crowds during lunch hours and after work
The NFL shop is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Monday, Feb 4 on the fourth floor of Macy’s in Herald Square.
