HAMDEN — A Connecticut man has been charged in a shooting that injured four people outside of a Hamden bar.
Police say 44-year-old Heshimu Barker was arrested Tuesday at his girlfriend’s home in Northford. The New Haven resident is charged with four counts of first-degree assault and other crimes stemming from the Aug. 20 shooting outside the Highwood Bar and Grill.
Police say the victims were treated at the scene by Hamden first responders. Three of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Barker is being held on a $500,000 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court Oct. 4.
